Bolodenka dropped 18lb since this time last season when contesting the Lincoln Trial at Wolverhampton and having 1st run here. This slower surface may suit with last win on heavy going but has finished last on 3 latest All Weather outings.
Was on General Tufto 2 runs back but never thought he would follow up last time and though he has a 6lb pull with Trans Sonic from their February encounter and Andrea Atzeni takes off another 3lb, is up in grade again here and can't be confident in his chances today when he was held 8 length by Trans Sonic.
Trans Sonic got the run of the race that day, and meets Mozayada 8lb worse for a 1.25 winning margin last time when under a 6lb penalty. Runs off another 8lb higher here so handicapper could now have his measure.
Mozayada has a good record with 5 wins, 3 places from 13 distance runs out of 17 outings here but normally at a lower level than this.
Exit Smiling is returning from a 5 month absence and Tony Culhane (not one of my favourite jocks) up for the first time, but has won on 2 of his last 6 rides here for this trainer in the last 4 weeks.
This gelding has 10 runs at the distance with 3 wins & 3 places to his credit here at Southwell.
Looks to be plenty pace/front runners and dropped back to just 4lb above last winning A/W mark, and 1lb under last turf success where he has been running in mostly better class contests.
Those 3 wins here have been 1st time up coming after a break in the last 4 seasons and looks to be following the same path here and now could be the time to catch him right.
